This teaching team from the Kamehameha Preschool in Hāna has utilized special transition techniques and have brought them to share with you today.

Young children need daily routines. Young children “tell time” by knowing what comes next. This workshop will provide techniques for transition activities within the Early Childhood Setting. Included will be some fun ideas such as “Obstacle Course” and “Driving Test”, special transition songs, math patterns, and finger plays to utilize during those transition periods.

Anjoleen Ho'opai-Waikoloa

Anjoleen Hoopai-Waikoloa is a kumu at Kamehameha Schools Hāna Preschool.  She graduated from the University of Hawaii Maui College in Early Childhood Education. She spent over ten years in the field including working for the Department of Defense overseas.  In her spare time, Anjoleen coaches volleyball, canoe paddling, wrestling and is an active member in the Hāna community.
