An overview of common behavioral challenges related to sensory processing that impact students and practical classroom strategies to address them. These children have gifts and challenges and it is helpful to understand the underpinnings of behavior. Included are strategies for the sensitive child, the highly active child, the clumsy child and the child who appears lethargic/daydreaming.

Kiegan has been an Occupational Therapist for over 20 years is the founder of Maui Center for Child Development.  She specializes in sensory processing and behavior and has worked with school teams across the islands as well as with parents to teach practical strategies for success in the classroom.  Kiegan contributes regularly to local publications such as Maui Family Magazine.
