“One Man's trash is another man's treasure”. Participants will have the opportunity to create various art work using recycled paper, cardboard, fabric and more. These ideas can then be incorporated within a classroom and used to enhance a variety of lessons across the curriculum.

Pinterest in the Classrrom

Pinterest is a social networking website that allows users to share (“pin”) and comment on online resources in a scrapbook style setting. Pinterest is also a great tool for teachers! It’s format is well suited for organizing information, collaborating, and brainstorming ideas. The visual nature of Pinterest engages a wide range of learning styles and can be used in a variety ways across the curriculum. You can use it to compile content-- including educational video, websites, and photographs, organize and store ideas, post and comment on student work, connect with other teachers to share lessons and project ideas, and to facilitate group projects using community boards.
